 PET & PROVIDER SAFETY:

Green Collar Grooming’s main concern will always be the safety of your pet(s) & the groomer.  Green Collar Grooming reserves the right to refuse services to aggressive, overly stressed, or combative pets.  I, the pet parent, understand that occasionally the use of muzzles & other safety items may be needed.  They will be utilized in the most humane way, only when necessary.

Grooming senior or special needs pets can be very stressful for the pet.  The groomer will work very hard to make the experience as comfortable as possible. They will groom for the pet(s) comfort and cleanliness & will only groom what your senior pet or special needs pet will allow to do comfortably. The haircut (if applicable) will be in a style that will cause the least amount of stress as possible. 

Should any animal become too aggressive, stressed, or combative to begin or complete services, I, the pet parent, will be financially responsible for and/or services provided to compensate for supplies and groomer’s time.

GROOMING INJURY & PET HEALTH CONDITIONS:

Green Collar Grooming & its groomers will always provide exceptional care & use all safety precautions for pets.  Although it is extremely rare, accidents can happen.  Even the calmest dog can jump, shift, or pull away at an in-opportune time causing nicks, cuts &/or irritation from clippers, shears, &/or nail clippers. Should a minor incident occur, most likely the service will be completed & you will be fully informed when your pet is returned. Should a serious incident occur, the grooming will cease immediately & the pet will be returned to the pet owner to decide the best course of action. Green Collar Grooming asks that pet owners inform the groomer of ANY health conditions your pet may have, regardless of age. Occasionally grooming can expose or exacerbate a current medical condition.  If my pet becomes too stressed or becomes ill while services are being performed. I, the pet owner, will be financially responsible for the services provided. Green Collar Grooming has the right to refuse service to any pet that is deemed too high risk for services.

NEGLECTED/MATTED COATS &/OR NECESSARY SHAVEDOWNS:

Dogs with matted coats will require special attention. De-matting is a slow and painful process for your pet. If the matting is severe, the most humane way to remove the mats is by shaving the pet. With matted pets there is a greater risk of injury, including nicks, cuts, or razor irritation. In addition, the skin may appear red, itchy, or irritated due to the lack of oxygen to the skin under the mats. Every effort will be taken to make sure your pet is groomed as safely & carefully as possible. I, the pet owner, assume full liability & financial obligation for additional veterinary or care costs due to any issues that may occur from services due to a matted &/or neglected coat. If my pet is matted, I understand additional fees will be added to my bill & agree to pay them.

Fleas and ticks:

Clients are responsible for keeping their pet’s flea and tick free.  if a flea or tick is found on your pet(s), Green Collar Grooming will administer a flea and tick shampoo to eradicate the fleas in order to maintain a sanitized salon.  Any pet(s) with fleas will be put immediately in the tub and treated with a flea bath for an additional charge.  We will notify you immediately that your pet(s) has fleas and that a flea bath was given.  If you know that your pet has fleas prior to bringing them to Green Collar Grooming, please let us know so we can take proper precautions to prevent other dogs from getting fleas.

Required Vaccinations:

Green Collar Grooming requires all pets be current on their Rabies vaccination.  You must show proof BEFORE the pet(s) scheduled appointment by email. A Rabies tag is NOT considered proof of vaccination; it must be a valid certificate from your veterinarian. We are aware some pets may have a reaction and or you prefer not to get the vaccine as often as required. If this is the case, we will need a letter from our Vet stating this or a blood test showing your pet has the rabies antibodies in their system.

CANCELLATION/NO-SHOW POLICIES:

We at Green Collar Grooming understand that sometimes you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment due to an emergency.  If you are unable to keep your scheduled appointment, please call us at 920-324-0664 to cancel, if no one answers, leave us a message. We do except emails as well at greencollargrooming@gmail.com. If the appointment is canceled less than 24 hours prior to the scheduled appointment time, the client will be charged the full grooming service that will be due before their next appointment.

As a courtesy we send a reminder text for appointments 1 business day prior.  If you do not receive a reminder text, the above policy will remain in effect.  It is the client's responsibility to arrive at their appointment on time.

In the event that you are running late, and it will be longer than 15 minutes, we will no longer guarantee your appointment and may be considered a no show and subject to paying the full grooming service. Please call and let us know that you're running late ASAP

LATE PICK-UP FEE:

To help us maintain a safe number of pets being cared for at one time, we ask that you pick up your pet in a timely matter when done. Life gets busy and schedules can be tough, we understand! If your pet is not picked up within 1 hour of receiving a phone call informing you that your pet is done, there will be a late pick-up fee of $10.00. Every hour past that there will be a $10.00 fee. If your dog needs to stay 3 hours before and or after their appointment time, we offer a kennel service. Your dog will have access to an outdoor play area for them to go potty & stretch their legs, water & snacks will be provided as well. You must request the kennel service before or at your appointment time.

PHOTOS/VIDEOS OF YOUR PET:

Green Collar Grooming takes pride in their work & the pets they groom. We may take photos/videos of your pet(s) during their services. The images taken may be used for websites, social media, or other marketing &/or advertising purposes. I, the pet owner, understand & agree to the photo release of my pet(s)

I understand that this contract will apply to all of the pets in my household including all future additions. I have been made aware of the policies and agree to follow protocol as asked per Green Collar Grooming. I will not hold Green Collar Grooming or employees financially, or otherwise liable for any incident, injury, or illness as explained above.
